Got a Vette to do and the pipes are pretty bad. I read you can use steel wool but Im not sure what grade to use and it scares me to use it on the exterior of the pipe as it will scratch. Best advice?

I have used steel wool before on chrome and things of that sort...if you do make sure you use alot of window cleaner or something of the sort. I use foam window cleaner and very fine steel wool. Or I have also used goof off followed by a polish/rubbing compound then a light wax....but Im anal...lol

#0000 steel wool

Blue magic metal is a strong polish that you can buy at any auto parts store. Wear gloves...

you can use any good metal polish. fine steel wool will work on the inside (that`s if it is a C6). you should not have to use s/w on the outside at all. they come polished from the factory and any good cleaner/wax will work. that`s how i do mine.
