I was reading posts all day long for the past 2 weeks and i saw a nice tent.

My backyard is concrete and not grass. Do u think i can find a nice tent that will rest on concrete without collapsing on my car?

Where can I buy one?

Thanks

Frank

i think you are talking about a portable canopy to provide shade while you wash or detail ? if so they are at places like, sears, wal-mart and sporting goods stores for a little under $100.

if you are talking about a more permanent structure that can withstand heavy rain and possibility snow, google is your friend: Outdoor & Heavy Duty Canopy Tents & Accessories, Wholesale & Portable Large Party Tents, Commercial & Building Shade Canopies, Replacement Tarps & Tarp Covers (http://www.canopymart.com/)

The best ones on the market are made by EZ-Up. The one I use is this one:

International E-Z UP - Speed Shelter II (http://www.ezup.com/products/pro/speedshelter2.shtml)

You can get them in many different colors and can even have your business on the fabric as well.

Along with weight bags, you`ll be all set: International E-Z UP - Weight Bag (http://www.ezup.com/accessories/weightbag.shtml)

I am looking for a temporary canopy so that I can detail my personal cars. I do have a one car garage but I hate to take out my favorite black car and leave it outside even under a car cover. There will be more work space outside under the canopy.

In the past, I would wash my car the night before and then the next day i would wake up early to work before the sun came out. Then I would try to finish it in the evening. This would take many days and was so annoying that I decided to only work on the hood roof and trunk. I would leave the sides of the car for a later time.

The cars were in mint shape and i was using a PC but I like to do a once a year complete polish, detail, wax.

What do u think is better for detailing?- canopy or garage?

after detailing in the direct sunlight, i am in the market for one as well. Dickk`s sporting good has a 10x10 for about 50 bucks..

I bought the one from Dickk`s a while back. It does not have the long legs, which makes it easy to store since I`m mobile. It actually was a good buy for about $50.

Is it sturdy enough to sit on concrete?

Get an EZ UP and hold it down with bungee cords attached to your wash buckets.
