Well my 9227C showed up today, and I had to try it out.

So I went to my project car (Z31 300ZX Turbo) for some testing as it has pretty bad marring, and if anything went wrong it is getting repainted anyway.

All I have to say is I`m in LOVE with the Makita. I taped off half the hood on the Z and did the following:

1200rpms with an LC CCS Orange pad and Menzerna IP

1000rpms with an LC CCS White pad and Menzerna FPII

800rpms with an LC CCS Red pad and FPII tried out jeweling the paint as described by some other users on this forum (I believe the credit goes to TH0001).

All I have to say is I am amazed, the Zs paint is 22 years old and marred to hell on the hood from 20 years of washing improperly, and now the build with it being under a car cover all the time which has left ALOT of marring on the hood. With the flourescents it looks like about 99% correction. There are some deeper scratches that would have to be wet sanded, but the spider webs, hazing, and randomn marring are completely gone.

The pictures didn`t come out too well, but hopefully tomorrow I can get some direct sun shots, and hopefully with a better camera.

What it looked like before... this is the drivers side of the hood that I left untouched.

-MikeThanks, and yes... the soft start is great. I had worried about splatter when first using it, but I didn`t have any thanks to that feature.
