Hi everyone. I`ve lurked around these forums for a little while and appreciate all the great info that`s available for novice detailers like myself. With that said, I am having a small problem trying to touch up some paint I scraped off.

The car is an `06 Steel Gray Metallic STi. For the most part, I`ve followed a touch up write up by DavidB. I used a toothpick to make sure there weren`t any loose edges, cleaned the area with a sanding pencil and Denatured Alcohol. The primer was still intact so I didn`t bother applying any. I used a toothpick to apply factory matching paint to the area. After letting the paint dry for 8-10 hours (it`s a borrowed garage so I couldn`t leave the car in there any longer), I used 2000grit wetsanding to smooth down the area. I then used sonus sfx-2 polish and a sonus hand applicator. I noticed the spot was very noticeable, so I decided to apply another coat a few days later. I followed the same procedure this time, but still couldn`t seem to blend the spot very well with the surrounding area. Here are a couple pictures of the spot. I`d appreciate any help you guys could offer. :thx
