I am very interested in trying the 4 oz Ultima Tire Dressing but want to get up to $75 for free shipping. Can y`all let me know what is a good, high quality buffing towel to buy from autopia? I only see about 15 pages of products on the site. Wish there was more selection or am I just limiting myself since I lack knowledge of many of the products being sold?

Thanks,

Howard

You can get a good intro into the rest of the Ultima line with the sampler pack:

Ultima Paint Care Sampler Kit (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/ultsamp.html)

The MF-204 is a very nice (super soft) WW drying towel (I`d get at least 2):

Blue Perl Drying Towel (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/mf-204.html)

As for a good buffing towel I wouldn`t be too concerned about ordering one from Autopia, the MF`s I`ve gotten from them have always been top shelf. Unfortunately I haven`t tried any of the new buffing towels they carry, but these look like pretty nice MF`s (one is 16 x 16 and the other is 16 x 24):

Sonus Der Wunder Buffing Towel, Pkg/2 (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/son-dwbt-2.html)

Ultima Autospa Buffing Towel (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/ult-200.html)

If you don`t make it to $75 use the coupon code autopia for a 10% member discount. Order before 6-22 and this will tell you how to save 15%:

Edit: the Ultima car wash is pretty impressive too. The sample I received impressed me enough to recently buy a bottle when I placed an order for something else:

Ultima Paint Guard Wash (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/ult-5022.html)

I`d recommend the Blue Perl woven towels for removing products. You can`t go wrong with WW`s either. As for the Sonus white Buffing Towel, it isn`t bad but it isn`t as thick as some others available.

The Sonus ultra fine green clay is worth considering, too.

Good to hear about the Ultima car wash, John. I haven`t used my sample yet. If it`s good enough for you, it`s good enough for me. Gonna use it with the foam cannon today. I`m looking to replace Z8 in my foam cannon soap cocktail. Hopefully the Ultima stuff will do it. I`ve been using DP Extreme Foam since I ran out of Z8, but it just doesn`t clean as well. Tons of foam, though.

agreed, and you might as well get three so you`ll be good on drying towels for a while and not have to pay shipping on just one or two when you need some more. also, the other blue perl mf towels are nice as well...

Do you have the Sonus Der Wunder towels? They are the best drying towels ever...

The Sonus ultra fine green clay is worth considering, too............Yikes, I forgot about that! It`s my second favorite clay. My favorite is the elastic yellow clay we in the states can`t get anymore.

I haven`t tried the Ultima wash in a foam gun, but it seemed to be some pretty sudsy stuff. I can`t really put my finger on exactly why I was impressed with my sample but it may have been because it did several things very well. As I mentioned it was very sudsy, cleaned well but seemed gentle on the LSP, and had nice lubricity...... just an overall pleasant experience. I remember thinking "yeah, yeah, yeah, more marketing hype", but then as I started using it I thought "d@mn, DavidB does have a winner here." Not yet sure if it will ever totally replace my Poorboy`s Super Slick & Suds (http://www.poorboysworld.com/super-slick.htm), but we`ll see.

LoL, yup, I`m always getting my Z #`s mixed up. Definitely Z7.

As soon as the sun goes down, I`ll give the Ultima a shot. If it works out to be as good as the Z*7* :) I`ll get some ordered.
