My chrome rims have these rust colored spots on them. I tried 1z polish by hand and it didn`t do anything. Any recommendations. Is this something the powerball could help with?http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/9c6156477b.jpg (http://www.freeimagehosting.net/)http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/e19574374b.jpg (http://www.freeimagehosting.net/)

Have you tried Super fine(#0000) steel wool with a metal polish ???

I have not tried that. Do you think that would work?

Would the superfine steel wool do anything harmful to the chrome plating?

It will not. Used this all the time on my friend`s Kawasaki.

Here is a good guide for you to learn from:

When I`ve tried using the chrome polish before it dries really quickly, is that okay then to use the steel wool or does it need to be damp?

I think you`re missing it. The steel wool is dipped into the chrome polish. If it dries, you apply more polish to the steel wool after wiping off whatever you`re polishing with a soft cotton cloth.
