Well, after 16 months of perfecting the finish on my black C6, I decided it was time for a change. I loved my vette but the black was just killing me with all the dust, pollen and minor scratches constantly occurring and covering it. So I bit the bullet and stepped up to the Z06. I can`t begin to tell you how forgiving this color is compared to black. I know the black is gorgeous but an Autopian with a black car just wasn`t logical anymore. Seriously, an hours worth of cleaning my black C6 would last maybe 20 minutes tops. Anyway, here`s a photo of my old C6 and here are a few pictures of my new Z06. Enjoy.

Congrats!

I love that car in yellow. I have a yellow car myself (my daily driver) and yes, they are certainly way more forgiving than Black!

So the Ferrari idea was put on the back burner? ;)

The member of the local Constabulary call that "Stevie Wonder Yellow"....

It`s so yellow and bright, even Stevie Wonder can see it! :LOLOL

Absolutely gorgeous Z06. I love it in yellow and feel you made an excellent choice. As a black car owner I feel your pain :(

man always love the Z06 style but whats up with that one headlight. looks out of place there. like something off of a chevette years ago. enjoy it I know I would and the color looks sweet.

Rob, after giving it some serious thought and talking to people I respect such as Rickrack and others, I decided that the Z06 would be the best bang for the buck. Seemed as though 100 grand might not buy as much of a 360 Modena as I hoped for. Like maybe a 1999 or 2000. I also learned that a C6 Z06 would smoke a 2000 Modena. Not exactly what you want to hear when spending that much on an exotic.

03SilverDak, not really sure what your talking about with the headlight thing. Do you mean the lower foglight?

CaptinFocker, I`m in Easton.

There`s a cool thing I`ve noticed about the color. Since it`s not finicky like GM black was, every LSP you put on it looks great. Now maybe I can use up some of the products I bought trying to make my black vette look awesome.

Understood! Of course there is more to a car than how fast it will go. ;)

There are very few cars on the road that will beat a C6 Z06!

no that light next to the fender behind the headlight lens. it looks like HID light, hid lite then halogen light. just dont look right being there.

I don`t doubt it. The bottom line is that you did your homework and came to the right conclusion for you. One thing is for certain, like you said, it really is very difficult to argue with the fact that the Z06 is probably the best "bang for the buck" high performance sports car that you can buy! :up
