Guys,

I was speaking with my dad about a red mini that one of his tenants is going to want detailed. We got on the subject of red paint and dad kept insisting that it was much different then other colors. He said that everytime he "waxed" it, the color would be restored to the level that people would ask if he got a new car. He used "regular stuff" whatever the hell that is. He didnt use a machine just applied by hand. I am wondering if the red paint now a days is the same (i havent worked with any red paints).

He`s talking about single stage paint. Once it oxidizes and looks old, a quick cleaner wax removes all the dullness and brings back that like new shine.

Red CC paint is no different than any other, treat it like black.

Single stage paint is a joy to work on depending how bad it is. My buddy`s mustang is single stage red and it didnt take much at all to perfect it.
