I am new on this forum and been really excited about learning how real detailing works. Not just going to wal-mart and buying wax thinking your doing the right thing. haha. I have been learning as much as possible and this forum is a great place to do that. I have been waiting for the weather to be nice enough to pull my car out of winter storage. Everytime I have been home from school there has been snow on the ground, even in late april early may. Prolonging this detail much farther than i would have liked, none the less i had a lot of fun doing a correct spring detail and look forward to learning new tecniques and products to try. This is my first time posting on c&b, this is also my first real detail. I don`t have a buffer (yet) so I did it by hand with a microfiber pad and a lot of elbow greese.
Process:
Wash with Z-7 x2
tire/wheel cleaner
steel wool on chrome (exaust tips and wheels)
tires Z-16
clayed with Z-18
alcohol prep-wash
Menzerna IP
alcohol prep-wash
meguiar`s mirror glaze 21 synthetic sealant 2.0
Before: only had 1 or 2 washes after out of winter storage

the fenders and doors had slight defects, much easier to remove by hand
