A freind and I were talking after I had waxed my car that cars allways seem to have that look imediately after a wax, however it only lasts about 2 days, but we werent able to put our fingers on what exactly it is. Yes the car still looks great a week or so later but it just doesnt have the freshly waxed look.
Anyone else notice this??

Its been a number of waxes that i have noticed it with, Ive noticed it with S100 in particular though.
It could all just be in my head too :)

In my experience S100/P21S don`t last very long, in terms of protection or looks.

Something along these lines, IMO. Souveran, P21S, M26, SSII, etc. all seem to lose their luster after a wash or even a rain.
However, not all waxes have this effect. IME, I seem to notice that the easier a wax is to remove the less durable it is. SSII and Souveran are like applying oil and they seem to have the durability of it as well.

I kind of figured the oils and yet i still get the look when i use KSG (which from my understanding has almost no "oils")
And yes the look is addicting to the point im putting atleast 1 coat on a week.

Hmm.. I use Z2 Pro and it does look great after a fresh coat. However, for some reason, it looks even better after the first wash. :nixweiss

Thats what QDs and spray waxes are for, to bring back that fresh waxed look. I use qds and spray waxes much more then I use regular waxes and sealants .

I like to add some AW after each wash. Fresher is better.
