From Jeff Silver...

As the factory continues to develop and update a polish family, a slight change does not necessitate a new part number or description. So we will stick with PO83 and/or SIP as our designation, and not use PO85RD3.01, PO85RD3.02, etc.

Yet I can purchase PO85RD3.02 at autogeek (SIP), PO85U (final polish), and PO85rd? Is this not what he said they dont do?

Maybe that means that PO85RD3.02 and PO85rd will be discontinued.

If you ask me, PO85U and PO85RD are different part numbers.

3.01, 3.02 are revision numbers of a separate part number PO85RD3. ?

Autogeek still uses the old P/N for what is now PO83Q.

Good explanation and makes since. Menzerna can be very confusing...

PO83 is the Menzerna USA part number for SIP. Everywhere else in the world, it`s PO85RD 3.01 or 3.02.

I thought PO85RD3.01 represents Intensive Polish whereas 3.02(called PO83q in the US) represents Super Intensive Polish..

Close, but not quite. The original SIP was PO85RD3.01. The latest formulation (from spring of 07) is now PO85RD3.02. And PO83q is based on 3.02, not 3.01.

Europe was the first to get the 3.02 last spring, which caused some of us (certainly not *me* ;) ) to order from overseas, paying huge premiums and large shipping bills to get the latest and greatest 3.02. Several months later, Menz USA brought it to the US, making us wish we had waited.
