I`m going to be using UF for the first time this weekend with my PC, and was looking for some advice from those of you that have used it. I have both grey and blue CCS pads.

How much time does it require to be worked in? What speed(s) seem to yield best results? Anything else I should know about it? Just trying to shorten the learning curve a bit...

Thanks.

Work it in a bit at 4, then crank it up to 6. Slow passes w/ medium pressure.

Bryan, are you working it at 1700 rpm with a rotary and finishing pad????

I`m under the assumption he`s referring to using the PC but I could be wrong...

Yes that is what I do, but I think the OP was referring to a PC. :nixweiss

Also, don`t let your pad run dry, or you`ll be dry buffing. Keep in mind UF is designed to finish `wet`.

My short experience has been

LC black or red

start at 600, up to 1400, go back to 1000

Got some filling of holograms the first time (so do IPA wipedown)

From member here - start 1000, up to 1600 to 1800, back to 1000

The longest I`ve worked UF is 25 seconds

Not sure if UF is the best choice to finish with via PC since it was developed specifically for rotary use. You will probably have to experiment a bit with pad choice and speed to see what works best.

This stuff is absolutely amazing. I just finished out a black Pathfinder with it that has 10 year old paint and never saw a detail ever. It makes the black panels like a mirror. I have a complete photo set coming this weekend of it.

I agree!

UF is made to always work with a film of polish on the surface.

I have had no issues working UF at 1800 for 2 mins in the 80° direct sun on a black benz.

If you do end up buying/testing it out TSC17, throw up an update. I am thinking about UF as well for the PC.

I`ve already bought it (along with M105), and will be working on my Mom`s neglected 2000 Sebring this weekend for mother`s day. I plan on documenting the process and taking photos as well. It will be a learning curve for both products since I normally use Optimum brand, but I`m sure it will work out just fine in the end.

I`ll keep everybody posted.
