I worked on a BEAT G35 coupe today. I managed to spend some decent time on it, and I`d say its about 98% perfected. I ended up removing some emblems, and doing a full round polish. It was incredibly hard to work on this thing for some reason. The paint just wouldn`t respond to anything I tried.

Alrighty, here is what I did:

-XP Compound to cut down the RID`s via Wool

-Power Cut Plus via polishing pad

-Ultrafina x 3 ( I don`t know what the hell was going on with this, tried so many different combo`s).

-Collonite 476S

-Dress it right on the tires

-Rims were screwed from the previous detailer (I was fixing his mistakes)

Here are the pictures, the owner will take better ones tonight and tomorrow since it was late when I finished.

I ended up wiping down the interior with some natural look, but the owner does a great job keeping it clean.

Fresh looking paint Steve, nice work as always!

May I ask what was wrong with the wheels?

Great job on a sweet ride. Love the color by the way. My wife and I recently decided to buy an 08 G37S within a year or so, $50,000 new is a little steep.

The rims were etched from a strong acid that must have dried on them.

Here are some of the owners "photoshoot" pictures, I have requested the non-photoshopped ones to show off the pearl:

Afters look awesome. IP is the best colour for that coupe.

Gotta love Infiniti paint, eh? I don`t enjoy polishing my paint and we`re talking extremely minor marring every 6 months. It just does not respond well at all to the PC, rotary, or polishes in general.

I detailed an 06 G35 a few weeks ago and found it kinda strange to work with. I was going to use the rotary for polishing but it "literally" stuck to the paint. I think the dealership used some kind of glaze on it because it just kept balling up under the pad and spitting out over the paint. Kinda like if the pad was over loaded with polish. Anyway I ended up using the PC and an orange pad with OC as a one step polish. I`ve never experienced this before, have you guy`s?

I had to change/wash my pads every panel beacuse it did the same thing.

So do you think it is the paint that`s doing this and not some finda crap on the paint? On the car I did it looked like product not paint that was balling up under the pads. It was soft and grayish looking.

Nothing from the dealer there, that`s straight from Infiniti. I`ve noticed the same with 350Zs as well.

I picked up my G with all plastic still intact. I prepped it after removing the plastic with a Z7 wash, clay, PrepSol. This should have removed any coatings whatsoever that remained.

I`ve had my car for almost 2 years now and it still polishes the same way.

I`ve noticed that the panels heat up a lot compared to most.
