Hey guys I currently own a 350Z and the sideview mirrors are attached to a black plastic base. For some reason there are several white spots. I tried applying some Mothers back to black, but it didn`t help much. My car is an 08, so I doubt they have faded already. I originally thought it was wax residue, but it seems to be ingrained in the trim. Any suggestions on what I can use to remove these or what it`s from? Thanks

I wish I could credit the appropriate Autopian for this, but his name slips my mind right now. Mineral oil (Johnson`s baby oil) apparently will not only remove white stains, it leaves a nice finish behind. I haven`t tried it yet, though.

Edit: Found it...

Try mineral oil. You can apply it with a q-tip, let it dwell for 30 sec. and buff. No scrubbing required. Peanut butter works (sometimes) because of the oil. Mineral oil is much cleaner. (but not as good with jelly)

Get it painted the same color as the vehicle IMO :D Will look much better...
