Clay Magic is my favorite clay, but I am not too impressed with the lube. Is there a better lube you guys can recommend?

I just use car soap, and I find it works really well(and saves you having to actually buy a seperate prodcut).

what ratio should you dilute car shampoo? Last time I used car shampoo it turned my clay into this awful mush but I don`t remember what ratio I used.

I like ONR. A cap full of Z-7 mixed with 8 oz of water, or just Megs QD.

If I`m not claying when I wash the car then I`ll use Meg`s QD diluted with water 4:1 ratio.

I use profuse amounts of lube every time I clay and ONR is the PERFECT solution for continuing my method without spending an arm and a leg.. hands down best clay lube

FWIW I usually use Poorboy`s S,S,&S at about the same strength I wash with. Most of the clay I use is the old yellow stuff that is no longer available in the U.S.. I`ve also used the Sonus Green and the Wolfgang Grey (might be an old formula also) w/o problems with car wash as a lube.
If I happen to use a QD some spot claying I`ll usually grab the QS (Quik Shine).

it works great and I get it buy the gallon
and I only clay 3-4 cars a year so it does not cost ME that much
he asked for a better lube, not a cheaper one
and I think 425 is the best QD for claying so that is what I recomended
