Shame that money was already spent on the "sealant" from the dealer... Car looked horrible and its only a week or two old! I dunno why either, but this clearcoat was EXTREMELY soft in some places. I would run my clean finger on the clean paint lightly on some places and it would leave a scratch. Even Optimum Polish on a white LC pad was leaving some noticeable holograms. I couldn`t finish on this paint without very very faint holograms even at low speeds on a finishing pad, so I ended up using the PC for finishing.

Process:

Wash

OP - White LC CCS pad - rotary

OP - Black LC VC pad - PC

Klasse SG on top

Great Job Metal. That Mercedes dealership should be embarrassed for letting the car leave in that condition, especially after they charged Lord-only-knows for their "sealant." If I was the client, I think I might swing by that dealer and show them what good work looks like.

yeap, mbusa need to hire some better detailers. Luckily I told them not to touch the car when we got our delivery of ours.
