I was bored, and since I was home at 1 today from my local client, I decided to detail my 2005 Trek 4300 Hardtail. It hasn`t been washed since I bought it (probably the only thing I own that I`ve neglected), unless riding in the rain counts! I know it`ll get dirty here in the upcoming weeks, so I just did a quick mini detail on it. Yeah, I`m a nerd, "big whoop, want to fight about it?" :D

Nice job! :2thumbs: What no love for the shovels behind the bike or are you saving that for when you are bored again?

Haha, glad to see that I`m not the only one who does the same. Your bike looks great. :grinno:

I only wash the shovels after use (dirt or concrete)...they don`t get the top-o-the-line treatment :lol

I use to have a trek to get to school. Until someone stole it at school. Nice job on cleaning it.

Now looks cleaner than most bikes do when their still in the store, kudos.

How much to do a circa 80`s Gary Fisher mountain and a vintage Gary Fisher tandem mountain....? :bigups

Nice bike! I have a Stumpjumper hardtail myself (which I much prefer over a full suspension bike).

That`s a great looking bike. About a year ago, I went to the bike store to look, and possibly pick up a new hobby...I couldnt believe the prices on those bad boys. There arent enough trails around here to justify a $1K+ purchase for me. I`d really like one, but I just dont think I`d use it enough. I`d probably be better served with a road bike and riding around the parks here.

hahahaha thats awesome, I was looking at that exact same bike in 05. But I ended up getting a specialized hardrock pro disc. Im glad I wasnt the only one detailing my mountain bike, people over on mtbr and the local bike shop always gave me crap for it.

I wanted to get a 4300 disc, but I couldn`t justify the extra $200...the V-caliper brakes work just fine on the trail, and that`s what I care about. Its mostly just bike trails here in Indiana, but when I was at school at Purdue, and when I lived in Holly, MI, there were State Park trails...I miss my home state sometimes...

Both of my boys have Trek 4300s. One is the same color, the other is a dark gray. I guess it`s time to detail both.

Nice detail! I also had one of those days where I did all of my bikes, just quick wipe downs .
