Hi all, I`m going to be recieving the PC 7424 kit with CCS pads later this week, and have a flamenco black pearl 97 Acura CL with pretty good condition paint for the age. I always wash and wax the car every other week, but of course there has been a huge accumulation of swirl and scratch buildup that hand polishing/waxing could never remove.

So now I`m looking to eliminate all that or as close to all that as I can and bring it back to near showroom condition. My question is...what are the best products I should use to eliminate medium swirls and scratches on a 10+ year old black car? I`m not sure whether these older acuras had softer clearcoat or not, but just wanted suggestions on the best and easiest to work with swirl/scratch removers/pure polishes out there that will get yield me some good permanent results.

I`ve seen the tutorial vids on autogeek and was wondering how good an agenda the following is:

Pinnacle MXT 3 w/orange pad

XMT1 w/ white pad

topped with one or two coats of DWG for added depth and gloss

finalized with a coat of Victoria Red wax

How does this sound? I want the paint to look unrealistically wet. How do poorboys SSR products stack up to pinnacle? Or does anyone have any alternative suggestions?

Thanks much in advance

You can never go wrong with Menzerna. You can try IP or SIP with a white pad first, and if that does not do the job, move to an orange pad. You can then finish with either Final Polish or 106ff with the gray pad.

detail: thanks for the suggestions!

Ok, so here is my tentative lineup:

IP w/ orange pad

FPII w/ gray pad

DWG x2 applied by hand

how is dwg as an LSP? Also, I have heard stuff about x3 having a quicker cut and being easier to work with than FPII, any thoughts on this? And lastly, is there a place that sells both menzerna AND danase glaze?

thanks in advance
