Paste or Liquid? Which is would be better to follow up with after using Meguiars ScratchX? I have some Meguairs "gold class paste wax" right now but I do not know how well it works.

Doesn`t matter - some guys prefer pastes, some guys prefer liquids. The Gold Class is ok (in my opinion), but if you are wanting to use Meguiar`s, I would get some of the NXT 2.0 paste or liquid.

IMHO PASTE if possible

i like paste. it doesn`t seperate and seem to go bad as fast as the liquid, and you get more applications. though it seems liquid is more convenient when applying by machine...

Thanks...I think I am going to go with this. I will have to make up my mind about paste or liquid.

I personally prefer liquid. Don`t really know why, but I just don`t like dealing with pastes. +1 to getting NXT (or Meg`s #26) over Gold Class. Gold Class looks fine but doesn`t really last and it will stain trim like crazy.

for me liquids are more user friendly but from paste waxes you get more applications.

I use a meguiars foam pad. (the small circle one)

Definitely liquid. I can wax a reg sized car with a liquid and my PC with blue LC pad in 10 min tops. I can also get a more even coverage vs a paste, and I use less than an ounce. I don`t think a paste wax allows more applications than a properly applied liquid...i.e. thin and with a PC.

I like using both... I enjoy applying paste, but you can do liquid very quickly with a PC...

You can get more applications from a paste wax via PC by `buttering` it onto a pad with a knife (or similar implement). It lays it on super-thin and one application goes a long way.

Doing it this way should give you atleast double the applications compared to what you`d get from a liquid. If it`s #16 you`re using, a tin should last you `til you have grand-children! :D

Paste lasts longer. Liquid goes on easier . I use liquid with a porter cable (orbital) on my 63 every month in the summer.
