Ready to place an order for some 5.5 LC pads (using PC). I`ll get the orange and white but what`s the difference between the Gray, Blue and Red pads?

Those three are all soft and are all great for LSP but the blue is a little softer than the black and the red a little softer than the blue.

any reason to get one over the other? they appear kind of redundant. i do see some experienced detailers buy the gray or blue for whatever reason.

i mean how soft does a pad need to be to apply lsp or use to finish out a polish?

I personally use the gray pads because I can finish with them without problems and if I need to do some really light finessing I can with the gray pads as well. I also use the gray pads on my high speed for all sorts of polishing.

I use blue as a dedicatied OS pad, I don`t think you NEED one though. Grey is the better choice for general use if you only want one.

Hey Rick, I`ve got some gently used/new Edge pads if you are interested. I`ve got 1 yellow, 1 orange, 1 green, 2 whites, and 1 red. If you`re interested in them, shoot me a PM. I`ll throw in the adapter for free if you want all of them.
