Hey all!!

I think this one takes the cake as the nicest Bimmer I have ever detailed...and I`ve detailed some nice Bimmers`. ;) It belong`s to a long time client of mine who own`s a local BMW tuner shop here in the Metro ATL called Performing Imports. They are one of the largest authorized Dinan distributors in the southeast so as you can image this `07 M6 has had pretty much the entire catalog thrown at it! It has all the Stage 2 engine and suspension mods as well as the 3.91 ratio differential. I think the only thing the car doesn`t have is the stroked motor package and the Brembo brake package. Ya` just got to love a Bavarian hot rod.

The car shows just 2100 on the odo but was in rough shape. It had been improperly washed several times and showed moderate to heavy marring. The newer BMW paint is uber soft so it wound up correcting very nicely. Below is a description of process and products used for this detail.

Enjoy,

Mike

Wash with Meg`s Gold Class shampoo

Polish with Optimum Compound using a LC orange pad and my PC set at 5-6.

Polish with Optimum Polish using a LC white pad and my PC set at 5-6.

Seal with Poorboy`s EX-P by hand with a foam pad.

All exterior plastic trim has Meg`s #40, wells have AA, rims have PB`s Wheel Sealant and tires have Z-16 x`s 2.

Nice job! 6-speed, too! That`s actually rare. Most seem to be the SMG 7-speed.

Mike,

Nice job on the M6. Ron is a great guy and does outstanding work. He is not the cheapest guy in town, but he stands behind his work and will give you an honest appraisal on what needs to be done to your car and then let you make the choice.

When he serviced my Dinan S2 540 (sold a few years ago), the car felt like night and day in the performance department.

Beautiful job and stunning flake pop on that thing.

The basic M6 is a sick car. I can`t imagine throwing just about everything on it that Steve Dinan has for it!!!

Oh. My. Lord. That is one awesome car, and you did a fantastic job on it also. Check out that white leather!!

Not to get too off-topic here, but is the OC/OP combo considered pretty versatile? I have a 2006 RSX in Premium White Pearl with some minor swirls. It hasn`t been polished since I bought it and I was thinking about getting a PC with OC/OP and some pads. It seems that this combo would work pretty well across the board - am I right?

Mike, very, very nice work on an awesome piece of machinery. Any idea what kind of horsepower that car delivers?

Nice work Mike! That is a sweet car. I`ve heard that guy knows his Bimmers pretty well. My jaw really hit the ground when I saw the clutch pedal, I didnt even know you could get them in straight shift. Seems like everybody wants paddles these days.
