Have you tried the Harley Davidson Metal polish?

you`re going to need a felt wheel and some rouge and tripoli, maybe some number 2 compound.

Buffing wheel on a grinder is probably your only bet. Start with grit wheels, move up to soft wheels and rouge.

Personally I`d just send them to Jet-Hot and have them coated. Better thermal efficiency (hotter exhaust gas flows more quickly) and they will look nice.

go to Eastwood`s website. they`ll have everything you need.

thanks everyone for your reply. so it seems i`ll have to use a grinder and some metal polish compound.

i did use a felt mushroom on my drill with some wenol and that didn`t work at all. is there something easier like using some sort of chemical peel?

btw, it`s a jackson racing race header.

Would steel wool with Meguiar`s Mag and Aluminum polish work? Worth a shot?

I`d have it blasted with whatever media works best on that (beads, sand, shells, etc.).
