I was wondering if any of you guys think a 2000psi electric pressure washer would be strong enough for cleaning wheels or do you think it should be a higher psi; I would like to get the wheels as clean as I can with the PW and P21S without having to do a lot of scrubbing.

Thanks in advance

Im in the market myself for a portable pressure washer and other things you might want to research is GPM and how many amps it pulls at startup and while running. .02

We use a Hotsy electric with just 1200 psi, but 3 gpm. We`ve done about 3400 cars with it, and it seems to be working out ok.

Too much pressure is dangerous around paint...

2000 psi is fine for cleaning wheels, but it would be safer and work just as good if you cranked it down a little for the rest of the vehicle.

I would recommend that you shy away from the Campbell Hausfeld pressure washers that are usually found in Wal-Mart and Tractor Supply stores. I use a regular gas 2500 PSI pressure washer but I had three of the Campbell Hausfeld for personal use and they all sucked. The previous CH PW didn`t even last one week. I tried to return it to TSC and they won`t let me even exchange the thing. So much for buying anything at TSC now.

I recommend Karcher PW`s...German efficiency/reliability at its finest. I use a G2000QT which is at 2kpsi and 2gpm and it works great, though its gas.

You could try the K5.93M (http://www.karcherresidential.com/en/showproducts.php?op=view_prod&param1=248&param2=&param3=). It`s 1850psi at 1.5 gals....a little low on the flowrate, but otherwise a good PW.

I have a Karcher as well. it is a 2400psi gas. Great efficiency as mhadden mentioned above, as well as it has a honda motor. Can`t beat it in my book. Just my .02
