I just had a car dropped off that has been color sanded previously. In all the jambs is a dried out "slurry" that is white. The car is base/clear and I know it is the color sanding residue but it sure as heck doesn`t want to come out with washing witha sponge. Any ideas of chemicals or techniques to remove this stuff? It looks terrible in contrast to an exceptional exterior finish. All the jambs were painted with base clear as well but not color sanded.

Thanks in advance, Chip.

Do you have a pressure washer?

I can probably get ahold of one. I`m just not comfortable with hitting the paint with high pressure water.

If the sandpaper didn`t kill it then you should be pretty safe with the pressure washer as long as you don`t put it close to the paint.

I`ll give it a try when the weather warms back up. Right now we have 15deg temps.

Thanks, Chip.
