What to use? Neglected Silverado HD.

Just picked up an 05` white silverado HD diesel. Great deal but paint has been a bit neglected.



My plan was to clay the whole truck (dear god, it`s a CC/SB)



Hit it with some AIO on the PC probably using a white pad.



Finish up with some pinnacle souvran wax.



Using those mostly because thats what I have in my garage for the viper.



Thoughts? I hear white can be a pain at times, especially if it`s been a while since it had some love.

I have a white/pewter GMC truck and I use a similar method of cleaning my truck up as you described. It works great for me and leaves a nice gloss and reflection. I usually use my PC with a polishing pad and Optimum Poli-Seal. I then go over the truck with Optimum Spray Wax.



There is not a whole lot of paint correction going on. But, it is white, so it wont show every defect. I think single stage white could be a pain if not taken care of before oxidation begins, but I believe the GM white has a clear coat. It seems pretty hard to me.



I think your truck will look great with the combo you have.
