What would you all reccomend on cleaning up Eaton superchargers, or any other roots style superchargers with? The metal on them does not to appear to be painted or have any kind of coating, just bare metal. I don`t want to hose it down or use a stronger degreaser for fear of staining it. What have you all used that seems to work good?

I used to soak with APC & power wash the Eaton I had on my 03 Cobra & Grand Prix without any problems. I`ve nener seen one with paint problems yet. Go for it.

Forget the small stuff and do a polished eaton.

If not just clean it like you would clean any other part in the engine bay. Many people in the wbody community do it all the time and there has yet to be any problems.

Here`s the same S/C that I have, which is a M62:

eBay Motors: `06-`07 Chevrolet Cobalt SS supercharger Eaton M-62 (item 150213746814 end time Feb-13-08 16:24:49 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-07-Chevrolet-Cobalt-SS-supercharger-Eaton-M-62_W0QQitemZ150213746814QQihZ005QQcategoryZ33741QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosti ng)

I`m not too familiar with the M90s on the GTPs, or if they came with a coating.

I`m planning on having Stiegemeier polish mine eventually. It would be a lot easier to keep clean, but for now...

I like to douse bare metals with wd-40 which will make it shine but give you protection against rust

I`m pretty sure WD40 would stain it.

I`ve seen the more aggressive Wenol used on bare aluminum intakes and they looked great.
