I have some light scratches on my windshield. Not visible under most circumstances. Anyone know of a way to get them out?
I`ve been looking at a few products.
DiamonditeĆ® Glass Repair System Kit polishes out scratches in auto glass windshields and windows. Diamondite Glass polish restore car glass. (http://www.autogeek.net/glass-repair-kit.html)
This the diamondite glass kit. They claim it will work with a rotary like a Porter Cable. I am highly doubtful of this.
Eastwood Co. - Glass Polishing Kit Pro (http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?itemID=2010&itemType=PRODUCT)
The glass polishing kit pro from eastwoodco. They said that a rotary would be fine for getting the scratch out but a orbital would still be required for the buffing portion.
Glass Revive Scratch Removal Polishing System - The Solution for Scratched Glass (http://www.janvil.com/glass_revive.htm)
This third kit that someone mentioned seems like stuff of science fiction. Their discription is a bit out there.
Summit SUM-905030: Summit Glass Polishing Kits - summitracing.com (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SUM%2D905030&N=700+4294922165+115&autoview=sku)
This last one is cerium oxide. But I`ve heard this doesn`t always have the desired effects.
Thank you in advance.
