Nice looking cars. Great job! Careful with your belt buckle when detailing, it might scratch the paint if you get too close.:2thumbs:

Did you polish the whole car with that small pad, or just the upper surround? What backing plate is that?

I thought you were using the flex. When did you move onto the rotary. Just wondering. Great jobs

I tried something a little different than what I normally do. I still did one panel at a time, but almost looked at it like I was doing a coloring book. I did the outside edges w/ the 5" pad then filled in the rest w/ the 7" pad. Seemed to work well and I didn`t need to tape since it was light polishing and not compounding work. I got the backing plate in a diamondnite kit for glass. You can get 3 and 5 inch plates at harbor freight for 5 bucks. Work fine too!

I got the hitachi a few weeks ago and just started going to town w/ it. I practiced on my wife`s Sequioa and my truck hood. It`s not as difficult as most make it out to be. Just don`t be so scared of it and always pay attention to what you doing. I owe my Flex and apology however because since I got the rotary I wasn`t using it anymore and even thought about selling it. I used it yesterday for a one-step w/ Poli-Seal and I now know why I love it so much. Sorry FLEX!

Love the fact that you are using readily available LSPs like Collinite and DG. Who says prep isn`t important. They look great.
