I added a chrome differential cover to my truck about a year ago and have had fits trying to keep this clean and free of rust. I currently try to polish it with each wash but you know how that goes. What would you suggest to keep it rust free. (Other than replace it)

Get one of these instead: Ruffstuff Differential Covers (http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/differential-covers-c-5.html?osCsid=3cf4e6b8ecb85026d5d9a973d8cee4bb) :D j/k Have it clear coated or something? Only other thing I can think of other than just polishing it every few washes...

Yeah even my aluminum finned cover is a lil hard to keep super clean too but since I dont drive my car in the wet elements anymore that problem went away...

Polish it up then put a sealant or wax on it.

will not work (for any amout of time)
the rust is comming through from the base steel
I don`t think chrome itself can rust
