First up is the AUDI A4...I love this color.

Exterior Process: I would say its about 98% swirl free.

ONR

megs safe degreaser on wheels and wheel barrels (first time actually hitting the barrels, didnt make much of an appearance difference to me from more than 5 feet away...worth it?...I dont know, but Ill do it on request from now on)

tires: black magic OTC

megs glass cleaner concentrate

hi-temp extreme cut on LC wool at speed 1800 (removed swirls and light scratching)

megs 83 on LC orange speed 6 (remove light buffer trails and improve clarity)

Poliseal on Megs yellow pad speed 6 (improved and brightened the paint)

OCW (used to remove PS - definitely adds to the glow of PS)

Interior (no shots):

carpet hit with megs APC+ and extracted with cold water (need to get that heater working again in the extractor)

dash/plastics hit with APC and a body brush

dash/plastics protected with optimum protectant plus

leather was treated with APC+, then dressed with megs detailer line leather c/c

And now a few of the Soltice...

she takes it to the car wash, so I just hit it with some poliseal and a LC white (speed 6) because she is going to try and get rid of the car for a nissan rogue...

I tried an orange pad and IP and it barely touched the surface of the swirls...super hard clear...which is why I decided to go with the fastest route...wool and HTEC

I hear that, and HT-EC on a foam cutting pad doesn`t go much faster on Audis. Good move, using the wool.

Nice job!

So the neighbor is trading a Solstice for a Rogue, huh

yeah, she hates the solstice...she is a tall girl though, like 5`7`` and that car is pretty small inside! needs something bigger, while still affordable and gets good gas mileage....the rogue is like 24mpg or somethinglike that....not too bad considering my new Xterra get about 16 and its just a touch bigger...

Yea I thought the same thing

but I stop trying to figure out women a long time ago

yes they are small

but it`s not like it shrunk after the test drive:nixweiss

hahaha...I think she just got over it after daily driving it...but whatever, its her car, definitely not mine!!

Well, actually I *can* understand that, even if it is a real sea-change. A lot of the "wow, what fun!" cars I just hadda have weren`t all that fun as daily drivers :o My wife`s best friend switched from sports cars to SUVs and never looked back.

Oh, on the Audi...[insert Accumulator`s usual lecture about taping the clear anodized aluminum trim here]..if you didn`t tape it off, you might oughta do it next time you polish it. Sorta surprising how fragile that stuff is, must be the world`s weakest anodizing!

I just wanted to say what a killer job toyotaguy did on my A4! I highly highly recommend his work if you are in the Orange County area. Drive to OC if you`re in LA, it`ll be worth it.

I love what you`ve done, I don`t think it even shined that much when I bought it. Thanks so much!

I will post some pics I took tomorrow.

yep, I was pretty stoked on the outcome of the solstice from just poliseal...couple spots got a quick hit of HTEC for some bad scratching to reduce them...needed a wool pad and rotary, but i just wanted to reduce them...but it was all done for free anyway...maybe a bottle of wine ..Jlohr Cab....mmmm....so good!!! If you like a good cab, try it out...

wow that got way off topic...hhahah
