Sorta new to be starting a thread but I was wondering if anyone watches the great paint jobs that roll across the block. I also like the Hagerty Fantasy Bid, I have $18500 for the 1st car a 65 custom Mustang.

A lot of the paintjobs look horrible when you slow down your tivo and look at it in thier lights, then a lot of em look out of this world.

The vette that was on about 25 mins ago, one can see some bubbles (looks like them) on the rear bumper or some defect and swirls on a front fender too.

If you can see defects on TV, imagine how bad it would be in person?

One of my customers bought Frank Sinatra`s 89 Jag. Even has the same plates on it. Bought from BJ auction. The cars paint is in terrible shape. Has old wax in all of the trim. It is the next car I get to do. He is a big fan of Frankie`s, even has one of his Gramy`s. But I am sure it looked great on TV. But in person it is horrible.

alot of the paint is "era specific" and isnt perfect on purpose....to an extent.

I was there for Scottsdale 07. The cars are absolutely as nice as you think they are. But, once pushed off the auction block, most don`t/can`t start. It`s quite an expirience.

Barrett Jackson Pipe Dream Auction. You could run a Hyundai through there for 200% of book value. Then pay $8,000 in auction fees, what a hustle, I hate seeing that on TV.

Alot of the Cars must have marring from all the dry dusting that goes on there
