hello, i`m looking to upgrade my single coating meter to one of the fancy multi level readout units. can anyone direct me to a source? thanks for your time!!

The only one I could find that would read separate layers of coatings worked only on non-metallic substrates (plastic, fiberglass, etc.).

Take a look at this one, I think it has a lot of bang for the buck. 445$ dual metal reading and good resoulution and error %

That one doesn`t seem to do "multi-layer" sensing, i.e., taking separate measurements of the BC and the CC, like this one: Measures coating thickness such as lacquer, paint and powder on wood; Epoxy and urethane on concrete and more. (http://www.defelsko.com/p200/positector200.html)

The only problem with that one is it doesn`t seem to work on metallic substrates.

yeah, i saw that.. i`m certain though that i have seen one that does metal. maybe it was that dude paul in the uk that had one..

I think he actually was banned from here. I read something about it over on DB.
