Wondering if I could get some advice on getting crap off my front bumper. It never comes clean like I want. It always has tiny pieces of probably bug, road grime.... that I just can`t get off when I wash the car. Any advice or something to use to get it off?

Thanks,

James

james68823- Welcome to Autopia!

Try detailing clay, it`s just right for stuff like that. Getting such stuff off ASAP is a good idea too, as bugs can etch the paint if left on there too long.

Keeping the front bumper clean is a regualr challenge for a daily driver. There are "bug sponges" which profess to remove such contanimation safely and easily. I don`t use them. A light duty clay like Pinnacle once or twice a month does the trick for me. then follow-up with some KAIO or ZAIO or whatever your favorite one step product is. The key IMO is to keep the paint slick so crud doesn`t stick to it. i.e. comes off easy.

Thanks. I plan to keep it clean. Im just having to get it to a certain point, before I can `keep` it there.

Scrub it really well, bug and tar remover, scrub if while the B&T has had time to soak in, wash/dry, then clay bar if it is still not gone.

I got a 4" velcro backed bug pad for my PC from TOL. Just soak it in ONR for 15min to soften it and keep the surface wet and man its fast.

Thanks for all of the input guys. I got a clay bar today, and will try that out tomorrow, I`ll see how it goes.
