Looks good and I`m very happy with the product. I wonder what another 3 layers will do... hopefully it`ll keep looking better and I won`t have to add a wax (I still want more wetness).

Looks nice. How did you do with the application process?

I went four layers of UPGP myself. I am looking forward to you take on what six do.

Thanks for the post and the pix.

Looks flipping solid. I am very impressed.

Application is a breeze. I applied a 4th layer today - didn`t see any difference. But, what I did realize was when I had reached the other side of the car I was like, "Oh, I`m done..." because the process is so quick. Works nice on trim too.

However, if you over apply, you will pay for it. The stuff streaks much worse then ZCS. Otherwise, great product and I think I`m kinda addicted to the smell/fumes :shocked

EDIT: I think I missread your post. If your asking about the actual process, it was my usual over the top detail process:

1. Thorough wash/dry with excessive amounts of shampoo

2. Clay with CG Gray (medium) + ONR as lube

3. Polish with BF SRC FP + Orange CCS Pad (Yea, I use orange as a finishing pad on silver)

4. Ultimas AIO product (forgot the name) via Green CCS pad (the regular, non-AG green)

5. 3 well now 4 layers of UPGP.

As much as I appreciate Sal, his hospitality and his product, I really have no reason to use zIO+Z5+ZCS+Z8 when I can just go PPP+PGP and not even have to buff.

Well I`m on 4 layers now (added another today). I don`t think the 4th layer did a thing but leave streaks due to over application. I *may* add a 5th layer tomorrow but granted the 4th didn`t do anything I`m not exactly motivated. Got any pics of your vehicle?

I no longer use the applicator that comes with PGP as it seems pretty easy to over apply the product with it. I switched to a smaller app that has a lower profile as well. We will have to get together one day and share ideas.

Looks very nice. When it comes to UPGP, they really mean it when they say you have to apply very thin coats. This stuff is really concentrated and a little of it goes a long way. You probably went kind of heavy on the application. Also, I recommend you always stick to the applicator that comes with the product. I don`t believe Ultima has an AIO, so when you say that you polished with Ultima`s AIO, do you mean Ultima Paint Prep Plus? I always find that polishing with UPPP before UPGP adds a lot to the finish, making it very slick and shinny. If you don`t mind a bit of extra work, I have found that a final buff with my UDM with a microfiber bonnet over a soft pad gives an even more impressive shine. Great job! :2thumbs:

Have you tried any other applicator with PGP?

Yes, I tried a different microfiber applicator and it just did not work for me. I ended up over applying, which led to some streaking and it was not as quick of an application as with the blue applicator. I never end up with streaks with the blue applicator.

Fair enough but I`ve gone through almost a full 12 ounce bottle of PGP and find the smaller app that I use to be much easier than the included app. Danforz can try the app that I`m offering and if it doesn`t work then he can go back to what he`s been doing. Any harm in that?

I`d be interested in trying it also, especially for tight areas. Which one do you use.

It`s a low profile MF app that I picked up at CG`s. Next time I`m over there I`ll check to see if they have any. If so I`ll pick a couple of them up and send them out.
