Hey all... first post...

Okay, so I have an `02 Tundra with several pieces of plastic trim on the exterior. Over the years, they`ve turned from black to a dull gray. What`s the best thing out there for getting this stuff back to as close to new as possible?

This is what I bought and have been applying coats of to my wife`s jeep wrangler:

Forever Black Bumper & Trim Dye Kit (http://www.autogeek.net/forblacbumtr.html)

Works pretty good so far but does streak.

I`ve also read that using shoe polish (like Kiwi) can do the trick.

Renu-It (http://store.pakshak.com/renu-it.html) or Poorboys Trim Restorer (http://store.pakshak.com/poorboys-trim-restorer-16oz.html) would be my choices. Both work very well.

It`s likely that your trim will need to be died. It`s already turning gray right?

MattPersman, I like your tag line.:)

I have the same issue with my Lightning`s trim and use Z16 on it. It works awesome and is very durable but just wish I could find something that was permanent.

Top of the Line Auto Detailing Supplies (http://www.topoftheline.com) has trim dyeing kits that will make the trim appear new again for months to years. Trim dressings will only be temporary (days to weeks).

It is also worth finding out how much the replacement parts would be. If they are cheap, it might be easier simply to replace with new items or possibly second hand
