Do you have to use marine products on boats? I am doing one Sun. and was the step were going to be



Wash with Megs Gold Class

Liquid Clay Hot Flash

Megs Deep Crystal Polish

Megs Color X

Eagle One nano Carnuba Wax paste



need advice from the gurus:bow

I would say yes because of the gel coats the are applied to a boat are going to be harder than a car.

Well, even if you were doing a car, I wouldn`t use the DC2 and ColorX like that. The ColorX is going to do a better cleaning job than the DC2 and also remove anything that the DC2 would leave behind. You could use the DC2 after the ColorX, it might give you some minimal gloss improvement.



I have never done a boat, but besides the CC vs. Gelcoat differences, the boat might be more neglected than a car, and you don`t really have any serious compounds or polishes on your list. The DC2 is a pure polish, essentially non-abrasive, and the ColorX is just a cleaner wax. Unless this boat is pristine, I don`t think you`ll make too much of a dent in it with those.

stop by a paint store and get a some Megs 80 or Presta UCCL or 1500 polish. get a durable wax such as collinite 845
