So, after visiting every chain automotive store in the Boston area, I finally found the complete reflections line, and Mequires #26 wax and never dull and some other great products at VIP motors in Watertown MA.

I just couldn`t resist not picking up the spray wax because I have been having a hard time keeping the `just waxed/maintained` look after every wash, and that is something I really want to have. Even in winter when I wash the car in the freezing cold, I want to stand back and just say `wow` this thing looks nasty slick and beautiful.

So, does Mothers Reflections Spray Wax stand up to the test. I can say after a small test panel and a good cleaning of the entire car, (Will post pictures this weekend when I do a full spray wax treatment on the A6) the reflections exceeds my expectation. I currently have 1z Glanz down as my LSP/Armor against winter salt. It is really doing well, however I know that it will not `really` last the entire winter without some booster products.

Process

1. Pressure wash entire car

2. ONR wash entire car

3. Apply Spray wax directly to paint, and spread evenly with plush side of Vroom MF Grey towel from Target.

4. Buff off and smile because 7.65 with tax for 24 OZ was a GREAT deal.

The wax looks much more organic and glowing compared to my 1z panels. I don`t think it has any nuba in the product, but it sure looks a lot `wetter` than MUQD, ONR QD, and/or Glanz applied fresh. I wouldn`t say the flake is muted, it looks just as puny as it ever does, reflections do look sharper though. And I was concerned this wouldn`t happen because of the 1Z Glanz being the base product, however, the Spray Wax has really made a difference. If you are looking for winter protection, but good looks when you clean your car, I would say go with 1Z and this spray wax, but then again, I haven`t seen many other nuba looking products, only sealants. Also, trigger is great with on/off and only a `spray` setting, no jet setting on sprayer. Bottle is nice round shape, and only 2 sprays to do an entire panel, 3 for the hood. Coverage was more than adequate and the product worked moderately well on the 20F car trunk lid. Smell was somewhere between a cleaning dishsoap, and a cheezy after shave. Wish it was like Adam`s detail spray, but ahh well.

*update*

Well, got around to cleaning the entire car today, and it looks decent. The spray wax took longer to apply and remove than I expected, definitely not QD quick Probably 12-17 minutes total. Which is maybe just as long as a normal liquid wax would take making this a negative in my book. In total the whole cleanup was 1.5 hours from couch to car to couch. Here was the process.

1. 1.00 pressure wash rinse a few minutes down the road.

2. ONR wash with Grey vroom mf.

3. ONR detail strength on wheels, with cheap MF

4. Mothers Reflections Spray Wax applied on plush side of Grey MF, buffed with short side.

5. Pictures and smile, because it is going to snow tonight. :(

1. Pre-clean up...

Even the neighbors SUV is `clean`!! Well, clean from 40 ft, but cleaner than my car at that distance!

2. Pre-Rinse with Power washer, this is a crucial step IMO for winter ONR washings.

Car looks great. I put some Collinite 476S on my fathers A8 back in August and the car is still beading nicely in the snow and rain. I have had success using collinite waxes (845 & 476S) for winter protection. I don`t usually wash the car unless I get a warm day and these waxes are good from October til March. Every now and them after a wash I apply FK 425 QD over the car to add some slickness. After seeing cars without any swirls on this forum I`m just itching to get myself a UDM or a Flex buffer. :chuckle:

Very nice. Do you have the older formula Reflections (dry to haze) or newer formula (spray on/wipe off)? I have used Reflections Spray too and it is nice.

This is the new formula, it`s not quite a wipe on walk away product, but if you used it thinly in appropriate temperatures it might work just fine.

It looks pretty nice and I am very happy with a spray product for winter.

O god, now i`m scared to even try this product out.

I was able to purchase two bottles at 4.00 a piece on Black friday. But we`ll see after the cold is done and see how it performs.

I love the stuff. Works great over `nubas; basically works like a QD...just mist and wipe dry.

Lasts a pretty good while as well (at least between washings).
