I`ve been evaluating the SYSTEM ONE product for the last 4-5 cars and wanted to give it a real workout on a badly swirled Black car. The Ferrari service shop got this Viper and wanted me to bring the paint to a good level. The car has been totally re-painted, so it was not OEM level paint.

Here is a representative sample of the finish I was working with:

System One is a single-use product and you use wool to do your compound-type work (swirls, scratches, sanding marks, etc), then switch to foam and use the same liquid for final polish. In my case, it saves me a couple of steps compared to using 3M compounds, glazes, polishes, etc. It is dusty, but it is a water based product and cleans up extremely easy.

Here`s a shot of the roof after just the wool. You could almost finish the car with just wool, but I used it per directions and switched to foam.

I used their spray wax in a wax-as-u-dry method after a final rinse to remove dust and splatter. Dried the car with a microfiber and the System One wax, let haze and buffed. This worked well for me because of the time factor in finishing this car.

Nice! The hood shots made me drool as well as the car itself. The old RT/10`s and gts are way better looking then the new vipers IMO

Hey where do you get System One? We had some at our shop but it got used up and I never got a chance to try it out. It looks like it worked well for you.

I got it directly from their web site: Get a SYSTEM ONE Pro Kit and polish like a Pro. (http://www.polishandwax.com/system-one-pro-kit.htm)

I talked to Gary and he is super helpful in product usage.

Doesnt sound/look like too bad of a product. I wonder where I have been, I`ve never heard of it. Like zoomzoom said, do you think it would work well without a rotary? Also would it work if you just wanted to use the foam pad if the cc you were working on was soft? BTW looks great.

Remember that a big part of it is the detailer. Is it a good product? I am sure. Is it an exceptioal product? I doubt it.

You can use Optimum Polish the same way.

PS: I have never tried a polish on the pc that didn`t work.
