I been using a 100ft hose with my 60 gallon air compressor and it`s getting annoying. Cause any time I want to blow air out of crevice`s or even us my air tools. The hose twist up it and then I have to strecth it out fully to get all the twist out and that I hate to keep doing. Any suggestion on hose ???

Putting it on a retractable reel would eliminate that problem. Not sure if that possible in you situation but it would work.

Yea scale down your hose length if you can. Other than that a hose reel is probably your next best option.

Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=40131)

I use that hose and reel. It reaches everywhere in my garage and driveway and the hose is extremely easy to work the kinks out of. It hardy kinks up at all actually.

So where do you think I should go pick a compressor hose with a retractable reel ???

You can try Northern tool

hose reels from Northern Tool + Equipment (http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/NTESearch?storeId=6970&N=0&Ntk=All&Ntt=hose%20reels&Nty=1&D=hose%20reels&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Dx=mode+matchallpartial)

Harbor Frieght also carries them - and they are reasonably priced.

A spring retractable reel for 100’ of hose is a large, heavy and expensive bit of gear.

I would seriously consider a manual reel (http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?R=200331955&storeId=6970&productId=200331955&in_merch=1) for that much hose.

A good heavy rubber hose, if you have one of the hoses that feel kind of plastic like that is your whole problem!

If you really need a 100 feet of air hose I would look into Coilhose Pneumatics Flexeel hose. It is a polyurethane reinforced hose. It is very light. Compared to Good Year 100 foot red rubber hose it is probably 1/4 the weight. They also make a 100` Flexeel hose on a manual reel called FlexReel. It`s probably cheaper to buy the hose and a decent reel from Harbor Freight or Northern Tool. There are other companies that make polyurethane reinforced hose. I even saw it at Home Depot near the compressors.

I found out about Flexeel from my cousin who is a roofer. Their hoses take a beating compared to the way I use mine in the garage. He swears by them. I would never go back to rubber hose or even worse PVC hose. I ordered mine from coastaltool.com in CT. Great people to deal with too.

Flexteel is fine, but it doesn`t tend to lay flat on the floor and after the first 50 times tripping over it, kinda sucks. There are much better hoses now days.

Here is one of the nicest hoses around. Softer than the flexteel, but slightly heavier so it will lay flat on the floor. Rubber type construction so it is more durable than the poly flexteel ones, very nice hose. Personally I would grab one 50` and two 25`s for most flexability.

Buy one of the 25` ones first for $12 and see how you like it.

Hose source hoses at amazon. (http://www.amazon.com/ULTRA-FLEXIBLE-AIR-HOSE-25FT/dp/B000O377D6/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1195356208&sr=1-9)

Then go with the HF hose reels. I have a 50` and a 25`, and they work fine. Really tough to beat for the price. The 50` one goes on sale for $79, and the 25` one goes on sale for $39 fairly often. Sometime you can get them even cheaper. Watch online on harborfreight.com and when you find it on sale, print it out and they will match at the store.

Here is the 50` hose reels. (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=46320)

and here is the 25` one(not on sale, wait a week and it will be) (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=46104)
