Hi everyone. This is my first post. I`ve been detailing for a long time, but always by hand. I`m thinking about buying a porter cable and was wondering about what assesories I should purchase. I`m going to detail a friends truck that has been neglected if this is any help.(Paint faded a little and a lot of scratches mostly surface scratches, he`s a deer hunter and drives his truck in the woods) My own vehicles has only a few minor swirl marks. I also use mostly zaino products. Will I need any more aggressive products. If so please advise. Thanks for any help

Definitely pick up some good quality pads and a backing plate for your pc. I think orange, white, and black pads are a good start.

If I were you I would buy a rotory instead of the PC.JMO:hm

I thought about a rottery, but I`m afraid it might be a little too aggresive for me since I have never used any kind of machine before, but thanks for the reply.

a PC is a great tool to start out with, and it can do some serious correction with the right pads, polish, & compound (there are many great ones to choose from) and most importantly good technique. pick up a LC backing plate and pads (a couple each of the orange & white)...
