I was playing around with this stuff and today I did a car for a neighbor , it was black/solid , washed pretty regular but not waxed. I tried to talk him into a 2 or 3 step for winter , the answer....no , just wax it .

Ok good opportunity to try the Megs 21 . I know there are boutique products out there that I too have and other swear by , but I did a waterless wash since it was just a little dusty , then did the Megs 21 with a PC on 3 with a Megs finish pad . Holy fricken crap is that stuff nice !! The car came out looking excellent , deep , wet , hid some of the little marring . Came off effortlessly . I`ll see how the durability is since I can keep track of the car. I actually liked it a lot better than 26 which is one of my all time favorites. I wiped it down after with a little Megs UQD to get any residue off , UQD is something which I don`t know if I really care for so just using it up.

Sorry I dont have pics , but was just surprised at doing it as a 1 step on how it came out on the black.

Just my opinion

Im alittle confused b/c Mike over on the megs forum said that NXT and #21 are made on the same platform but #21 can be used with a rotary. Yet everyone puts NXT down and loves #21?

Im pretty sure all the megs products are made with the same platform but that doesnt mean one product wont stand out more than the other!!

NXT is great but has NO durablity maybe a week at that

#21 is a synthetic sealant and will lasts months so that is why im sure everyone disses NXT and they praise 21~~

I have 3 bottles of NXT and they are never used. I have 1 and a bit gallons of M21, and it is used on almost every detail. I have been using it since 2005, and still use it today. I am pretty excited for the new version!

NXT is the way it is to make the best initial impression on Elmer. He expects "wax" to only last a month, so thats where megs targeted NXT.

Although i have no problem with a beauty wax lasting a month, something Elmer puts on his car that stains trim is alittle careless on Megs part.

Fix the trim staining, up the length of protection to a solid 2 months, and it would be worth buying in an emergency.

I`ve tried a lot of different products over the years and Meguiar`s #21 is my favorite of all. It wipes off super easy and brings out the shine very nicely on my black Corvette, while hiding minor imperfections at the same time. And the durability of this stuff is amazing! I can`t wait to start using their version 2.0 when it comes out, that new hydrophobic technology is very cool! They`ve got it in their Ultimate Quik Detailer and it works really well (it helps reduce the amount of dust that sticks to the paint, and water just glides off the surface when you drive in the rain so you get almost no water spotting and the car doesn`t look as dirty afterwards too)
