Hey everyone,

I am about to remove the stripes on myDodge SRT4, because I recently, changed which route i was going with the look of the car.

The rally stripes are on the roof, deck lid, and spoiler. The stripes have been on the car a good 2 years. They are cracking and arent looking pretty.

So if you folks have any useful tips that will allow me, to quicken the removal of the stripes, that would be awesome.

here are some pics of the car.

Assuming they are vinyl, carefully heat them and use some plastic razors with plenty of slick solution. Peel away and polish when done.

Careful not to melt the paint. Hey, my first time with a real heat gun and not a hair drier. lol

Work them up slowly. Should come off fairly easy. If there is any residue left behind use 3M adhesive remover. It comes in a red and white can. Works great.

Keep the heat gun moving really quickly - 4+"/second, and feel the paint often.

I would also like to add. Do one section and remove glue and check for stripe ghosting.
