I`ve recently waxed my windshield (brand new truck) with Colllinite 845. When I used my wipers this morning in the rain, I could really hear them drag across the windshield. I don`t remember them dragging before I waxed the windshield. Do you think that is the source? If so, what is the best way to "unwax" it? Dawn, Isoprophyl, Klasse AIO, window cleaner (I have Surf City and a little bit of Stoners)?

thanks

Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) should take it off. The Dawn will be the least effective of those (the glass cleaners have alcohol in them).

I`d use straight IPA (Isopropyl) followed by a window cleaner. Also try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser with the IPA if needed.

also clean your wiper blades.. i had the same happen when i applied Z2. I cleaned the blades with IPA or try AIO.

Tarminator should do the trick.

I remember the old timers using Coke, the drink not the powder.

Do you think it is the wax thats causing the rubbing/grabbing sound? Initially I would have thought that wax would have added to the slickness, not taken away.

I waxed my windscreen with M16 last 2 weeks. I got the wiper chatting/juddering. I clay, use a paint cleaner (Meg DC1) and they spray some Nxt glass cleaner. It solved my problem.

Last Friday I tried using Klasse AIO on my windscreen and works quite nicely. Nowadays it`s raining over here in M`sia.
