edit - Thought I`d bump and give update, this was definitely a permanent job, the trim still looks like the day I used Mothers Mag and Aluminum :2thumbs:

Just found a new use for it. On my truck for some reason all around the body molding (if I find my camera I`ll take pics in a little bit), it had these stain like markings, like the truck had been washed with something that stained in a weird dripping type look, pics will explain/show better lol. I got the truck new like 6 years ago and don`t remember when this 1st appeared but I`ve remembered it for years. Nothing I used worked, not Klasse AIO, nothing nada.

I just grabbed the Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish and said f` it, lets see what this will do, it worked. Rubbed with a terry towel and it was turning the towel black just like using it on chrome, and in the spots I tried the molding was much shinier and nicer looking, and about 97% of the stain in the areas I did was gone.

I`ll try to get pics later today or tomorrow if I can find my friggen camera. Its not made for moldings but that mothers products worked awesome on it.

damn no replies lol, I thought that was pretty cool for a product that was never intended for that use, could help out people with trim molding like that.

That is cool!! You were brave to try it, let us know how long it lasts before any fading comes back. What exactly was the stain from!?

GeoffHave no friggen idea, they`ve been there since before I got into detailing for hobby last year. Can`t remember if the truck came like that new or if when I used to have it detailed with our other vehicles, somebody used a harsh chemical or something?

As far as the look, it stays, I did it on another vehicle last year on similar trim and on the metal lower panel of a Towncar and both look exactly the same as when I did it last year. I just can`t believe it basically removed that stain markings as nothing else did, KAIO didn`t even budge anything and neither did Optimum Polish. The Mothers product must have some really good chemical type cleaning ability to it, trim looks basically brand new now, very flakey and reflective compared to before.

Did you at anytime use an APC or degreaser?

I got horrible staining from Megs APC.

I got horrible staining from Megs APC.Nope, really don`t know what caused it, this was before I got into detailing but even then I know I never used a degreaser or APC on the vehicle. Whatever it was, the M&A polish cleaned it up, I couldn`t get any other product to do anything.
