What kind of chrome polish works good on polishing exhaust tips on the outside and removing carbon buildup on the inside as well? I`m pretty sure the inside is chome inside and out,(anyone know for sure on GM`s newer SS models?) Has onyone here used the Deep Chrome stuff? How well would it work for what I`d like to achieve?

I use the deep chrome polish on all of my tips now. It cleans excellent and does not leave any marring at all cause it is non abrasive. It also has a polymer protection in it too. The best I have used.

I use Mothers on my chrome tips. I use one a terry diaper to apply and remove it. They come out looking like this:

Sounds good. Have yo used it yet to remove carbon buildup in the tips?

That`s how I want to get the inside of my tip. I`m sure you didn`t let yours go and get all kinds of carbon buildup either.

Have you clean it with a wheel cleaner and a brush. That what I do.

I use Mothers on my 2001 Camaro SS chrome wheels.

Thanks for the tip, I`ll have to try that.
