And with my new toy! :woohoo:

Last week I applied the Ultima line of products with 3 coats of their Paint Guard Plus on top of their Paint Prep Plus.

Yesterday i went to Sears to pick up the power washer I ordered so I could do my first wash since applying Ultima. ;-)

This from Sears....

This was my first time using the pressure washer and foam cannon so I just guessed on the ratio of soap to water. I know it`s not near as thick as what it could be. Came out ok but next time I`ll get it even thicker. But it was A LOT OF FUN! Had the whole car covered within 30 seconds! I just used a jug of Meguires car wash soap I found at Lowe`s since it was cheap and I wouldn`t mind using larger quantities. Then i let it sit for several minutes while i got a bucket of water ready with Ultima car wash soap and my microfiber mit. Then I gently rinsed the layer of soapy foam off and gave it a quick gentle wash like normal. So i basically just used the foam this time as a pre-soak. Next time I might fool around with using the pressure washer to rinse and see how that goes.

But damnnnnnnn.... look at all that wet shine. :D

Looks like shaving cream! End result is your car is wet and STUNNING!

Looks great!

Z7 foams and sticks very well, with really good hang time. CG`s CW&G cleans like crazy and has a drying agent that helps prevent spots. Mix em together for the best of both worlds. Just be careful not to put in too much CW&G or you`ll strip your LSP. 3 oz of CW&G and 1 oz of Z7 mixed with 28 oz of water in a one quart bottle (I got mine from a spray bottle I bought at Target. The pickup tube can be bought at Home Depot) and max ratio gives tons of foam, great hang time, fantastic cleaning, great ease of drying.

I haven`t had very good results with any of the Meg`s washes. They just don`t foam very well and really don`t seem to have very good cleaning ability, either.

DP Extreme Foam is a very good substitute for Z7. Quite a bit cheaper, too. I do prefer Z7 over DP, though.
