I just had a set of Chrome Wheels Replated Due to Flaking and Pitting. How Do i take Care of these to insure that they do not start to peel and pit again?

Keep them clean (don`t let brake dust accumulate for weeks at a time) and well sealed. A good wax or sealant will make keeping them clean a lot easier.

I personally like Poorboy`s Wheel Sealant (http://store.danase.com/powowhse.html) or Collinite`s 845 (http://www.prestostore.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?ref=exceldetail&ct=64029&pd=277165), but any durable product you use on your paint will work well on your wheels (such as the Klasse that smprince1 mentioned). I`ve also had good luck using some of the WOWA sealants like CS, OCS, and UPGP over a good base of something like Zaino Z-5.

Basically treat them as if they were your paint. I use the same wash techniques as I do on the body of my truck. IMO, I wouldn`t use a wheel cleaner, just use a washmit and soap. About once a month I will polish them with Mother Chrome Polish (great product) than seal them with Zaino Z5.

Bling Bling YO! These wheels are 3 years old and still flawless. Keep in mind, some wheels are better than other. It all depends on how many times the wheels were dipped in chrome.

How do you guys keep your chrome wheels clean on a daily basis though? Do any of you use the same detailing spray on your paint to keep your chrome wheels clean? I`ve just been wiping mine very lightly with a microfiber cloth, to remove brake dust, but I`m sure that isn`t the best way to take care of them!

For maintaining a already clean and sealed set of chrome rims, simply mix your car wash shampoo with water and put in a spray bottle. spray your wheels when they are not hot and rinse then dry with a MF, you can use a QD at this point also, unless you have honeycomb or mesh style rims, it only takes a half hour or so
