yes and yes. 3M adhesive remover works even better and is also safe.

The 3M is very good, but it quite a bit more "toxic" using it. At least the WD has a pleasant odor.......

Safe to use on paint. Just remember to re-wax the area you used it on.

I would use a cleaner wax to make sure you remove everything that WD-40 leaves on the paint.

If you dont remove all of the WD-40 it may make the paint splotchy.

But yea, it should be just fine to use. :)

Before I got into karting, I had no idea what a great cleaner WD-40 is. :) We use it to clean everything on the kart but the brakes. Oil, chain lube, tire marks, grass, dust-you name it. I go though a supersized can abut once a month. :)

:D LOL! Could you imagine!!!

Reminds me of a friend who put Armour All on his brake pedal....

WD-40 won`t damage paint in any way. Dunno if plain water is sufficient to remove it, though. Maybe some car soap is better.

On tar, skip WD40 and adhesive remover and go straight to lacquer thinner. Nothing is stronger on tar.
