I have a white subaru legacy and I`ve decided to use my pc on it. I have meg`s dacp, meg`s #9 and s100 polish. And I`ve got two megs yellow pads and one megs white pad. I was going to try to remove some minor swirls and scratches not really anything intensive. I was thinking of going with the dacp on the yellow pad than straight to my s100 carnuba topper.

So here`s the question. Should I step in with another milder polish 1st. Or would dacp than s100 carnuba be ok.. TIA.

I would

1. wash

2. clay

3. DACP w/ yellow pad

4. #9 w/ yellow pad

5. S100

#9 is to get the gloss back from DACP`s aggressiveness. But since you said light scratches, try leaving out DACP on a test spot first.

I would do at least a light pass with a light polish or glaze on a white pad to touch up the minor marring that`s going to occur with a high cut yellow/polish combo.

#9 is a light polish. On just about every car I have used #9 plus a yellow pad, I have had no micromarring. If the poster does have problems, you are right, he could switch to a finishing pad, but still use the #9.

thanx for the words of advice i decided to go with the dacp anyway and Iam starting on the #9 now...than I`ll top with the S100 Carnuba but one last question is #9 really watery? cause mine is but it seems to leaving behind a nice slick finish.. thanx again

I do all my PC polishing on 6 unless I`m using 4" pads that become unstable at that speed.
