I need help.

I have a job Fri. It`s a 1973 Afla Romeo Spider.

It was repainted about a year ago and done very sloppy. There`s overspray all over engine knobs and and on the interior, door panels.

I need something that can disolve the overspray without harming the panel.

Interior is black and the paint overspray is a creamy yellow color. (no wise cracks.....:grinno: )

I just don`t know what to use without hurting the black interior color? I was thinking, alcohol? paint thinner? adhesive remover? WD40? but am afraid this will fade the interior.

Someone help......

What do you think clay would do? Is it worth a chance to try it? Would it work?

It`s on the interior though? the door panel.

It is a classic car and Italian so parts are extremely hard to come by so I can`t afford to mess anything up.

I don`t see clay as an option on the interior, maybe on parts of the engine yes.

I think I will need a chemical solvent?

That is a tough one without seeing it.

Maybe glass cleaner, magic eraser, I`ll think more and get back to you

I know this sounds stupid, but try scraping it off with a guitar pick. I have found that some things are best removed by scraping them with a fingernail, and after searching, the closest thing I can find to actually scraping it with your fingernail is using a guitar pick.

Wow is that outside the box, a guitar pick! Kind of an ersatz plastic razor blade...thanks for that tip!
